Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Official welcome to Patagonia’s adventure capital! After checking in to your hotel, you will meet your guides for a briefing and gear check. The rest of the day is yours to explore Bariloche’s alpine charm, lakeside cafés, or chocolate shops. Rest up: the journey begins tomorrow.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the base of Mount Tronador. Our trek begins along the Cauquenes River through thick bamboo and southern beech forests. We’ll gradually ascend toward the Argentinian border monument before crossing into Chilean territory. End the day near the first local estancia.
Distance: 12 km / Elevation gain: 500m / Approx. 7 hrs hiking

Day 3

Today we descend through open landscapes, rewarded with sweeping views of Tronador’s southern face. The trail is rugged but beautiful – passing mossy rocks, high meadows, and wooden bridges. Tonight, we stay in a new cozy mountain hut with warm food and soft light.
Distance: 12 km / Approx. 7 hrs hiking

Day 4

As the trail leads westward, you’ll notice the shift: the forest thickens, the air gets more humid, and the trees grow taller. This stretch is gentler – following rivers and valleys into the heart of the rainforest. Settle into camp at La Junta, between the Blanco and Esperanza Rivers.
Distance: 9 km / Approx. 4 hrs hiking

Day 5

No boots today! Rest and relaxation while you soak in the beauty both literally and metaphorically. You’ll get to soak in the natural thermal pools surrounded by forest, steam, and birdsong. Enjoy good food, a slower pace, and space to simply be. This weather window is built in: if the elements shift, we adjust accordingly.

Day 6

Our final stretch winds through pristine forests and abandoned farms until we reach the shores of Todos los Santos Lake. From here, a scenic boat ride awaits, framed by volcanoes and misty ridgelines. After a beloved final hiking day, you’ll arrive in Puerto Varas, and check into your hotel. A warm shower, soft bed, and celebration meal await!
Distance: 12 km / Approx. 5 hrs hiking

Day 7

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred onward (or feel free to extend your stay in Chile!). From fjords to forests, the journey continues…
